Description

Bilingual Shift Supervisor (must be fluent in Spanish and English)

Pay: $37/hr.

Looking for two new supervisors to provide on-site trauma assistance in a social service setting related to city sanctuary hotels throughout New York City. The role would be Monday-Friday working 9am-6pm mainly at the Beaver Street location. This position mainly consists of working on invoicing and budgeting, but the candidate will also be doing field work, meeting with clients, taking care of admin tasks, and following up on incidents as well as the additional duties below.

Working on invoicing, bookkeeping, and budgeting

Overseeing social services operations and seamless transitions from one shift to the next

Supervising and supporting community associates, including reviewing completed assessments

Ensuring that community associate staff provide culturally sensitive, trauma- informed services

Ensuring appropriate staff coverage and monitoring attendance

Intervening in crises and counseling clients as needed

Planning and troubleshooting with operations and security staff

Coordinating interpretation and translation services

Troubleshooting with NYC Department of Education (DOE)

Coordinating with the Mayor's Office of Immigration Affairs (MOIA)

Providing coverage for community associate staff as needed

Meeting with operations and security staff for planning and site management

Managing and documenting incidents

Managing and updating rosters and attendance

Other duties may include:

Site visits when necessary to work with clients and follow up on case management. Site visits can be in any of the 5 boroughs.

Administrative tasks as needed, be flexible with duties (and schedule).

Assist the Program Administrator in making sure sites are running optimally.

Requirements

Must be bilingual English/Spanish speaking

Must have Case Management experience

Must have previous supervisory experience

Must have a Bachelors Degree

Must have some experience with finance, accounting, or budgeting

Previous experience working with DHS is highly preferred

Previous experience working with migrants is desired
