JOB SUMMARY

This position provides Accounts Payable support to the company.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• No


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes and processes accounts payable in a timely manner.

• Codes purchase orders with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.

• Receive, match, and pay invoices.

• Prepares check requests, and ACH transactions.

• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices.

• Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.

• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents.

• Record cigarette counts for tax reports.

• Payment journal -AP cash requirements for month end

• Reconcile check registers monthly.

• Answer and take customers' orders.

• Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of industry and products.

• Computer experience in data entry, Windows, internet, and banking.

• Able to multitask and highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks.

• Highly accurate and focused on details.

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Open to change and willing to learn new skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school education or GED


Preferred Experience

• Experience in Accounts Payable.

• AS400 experience.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at times.

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
