Job Overview - Accounts Payable Manager (Real Estate):
Step into a leadership role with our client as an Accounts Payable Manager in New York, NY. In this hybrid position, you will spearhead the digital transformation and automation of accounts payable operations while managing disbursement-related functions. Your expertise in process efficiency, vendor management, and SOX compliance will help optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Manager:
AP Process Management:
Oversee Basware accounts payable system, ensuring efficient invoice processing, workflow monitoring, and routing.
Payment Operations:
Manage weekly payment runs, optimizing cash flow while adhering to payment terms and company policies.
Compliance & Reporting:
Maintain SOX compliance, handle 1099 preparation and filing, and generate AP module reports for audits and Board reporting.
Vendor & Tax Management:
Maintain vendor master files, address inquiries, and oversee sales tax filings and P-card reconciliations.
Cash Flow & Budgeting:
Provide AP cash flow forecasts to Treasury and monitor office asset budgets against actuals.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable team while driving process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Manager:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
Experience:
5+ years in AP management (including SOX reporting) with international AP experience preferred and proven team leadership abilities.
Skills:
Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities, with a detail-oriented approach and expertise in multitasking.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups), PowerPoint, Basware or similar tools, automated T&E systems, and JDE accounting systems preferred.
