Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Milwaukee, WI (on-site)
Salary: $23-$27/per hour ($48K-$56K annually) + Benefits

Accounts Payable Specialist Description

Our client is an established retailer in Wisconsin and is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their corporate office located in Milwaukee. In this role, you will perform full-cycle accounts payable duties and work cross-functionally with Buyers, retail/warehouse locations, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with accounts payable, strong intellect, and desire a long-term career opportunity to expand your skillset. Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities

• Schedule and record all invoice payments in accordance with company policies
• Match invoices to receiving reports and verify purchase order prices
• Address invoice discrepancies and missing documentation with buying teams and retail staff
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions with vendors
• Process payments, ensuring discounts and proper payment terms are applied
• Process and collect reimbursements for manufacturer coupons
• Ensure the accuracy of the receipt system
• Retain invoicing support and historical records in a filing system
• Ensure accurate inventory reconciliation by quantity, date, and location
• Review, monitor, and retain business insurance certificates
• Learn various vendor arrangements and keep accounts current
• Provide backup for other Accounts Payable Associates and the Receptionist as needed
• Perform general administrative tasks to support business needs
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls or procedures

Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience is required
• Strong math and critical thinking skills are required
• Detail-oriented with the ability to self-audit your work is required
• Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required
• Ability to work 100% on-site is required
