Job Details Job FamilyFAC - Part-Time Faculty, Credit ClassesGradeP1Salary$54.37 - Base RateDepartmentSchool of Global BusinessReports ToDepartment ChairpersonClosing DatePosted on an ongoing basisFLSA StatusExempt - Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateSeptember 4, 2024 Job Summary This Faculty member teaches upper-division Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Hospitality Management ourses to students pursuing a Bachelor Degree Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes. Duties & Responsibilities Teaches lecture and laboratory sections Evaluates and advises students Develops curricula Maintains department standards Recruits and participates in retention of students Serves on committees Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Management preferred Master's degree in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality; or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management; and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality. All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Experience with applied learning methodologies Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments Preferences For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
