Job Title: Bilingual Financial Controller
Location: Los Angeles, California, On-Site
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually + Benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong operations background and fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese for effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role requires a professional who can manage the company's financial operations while liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams, particularly in operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  2. Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analysis on a regular basis.
  3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
  4. Collaborate with operations teams to align financial objectives with company goals, driving efficiency and profitability.
  5. Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  6. Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of improvement.
  7. Handle tax preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  8. Lead financial discussions with clients and stakeholders in both English and Chinese/Cantonese.
  9. Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections to support business growth.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with a strong background in operations.
  3. Fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese (written and spoken) is required for client communications.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
  6. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  7. Proven ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally with operations and executive teams.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
