We are looking for a full-time Pharmacy Services Representative (PSR) for our new pharmacy located at our: McDowell Health Clinic 136 Creekview Ct, Marion, NC 28752. The PSR/pharmacy technician in training will work in our new on-site Pharmacy as a cashier and primary greeter for patients and visitors entering the pharmacy, creating a welcoming environment. They will accurately collect and enter data as required for patients receiving their medication. This will include collecting and processing of payments. They will also eventually provide Pharmacy Technician services once their training is complete. The PSR provides an important service to our patients as they are also actively communicating with people of various diverse backgrounds, ensuring all patients provided sensitive and compassionate customer service. The position does require the candidate to be bilingual in English/Spanish as they will assist pharmacy staff with translation if needed for our patients. WNCCHS will provide on the job training to ensure the candidate can successfully be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 90 days. QUALIFICATIONS: Education- High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience- Previous pharmacy experience preferred. Language- Bilingual English/Spanish required. Customer Service Excellence- Pharmacy staff is responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure access to services for people with limited English proficiency (LEP). RESPONSIBILITIES- Includes but not limited to the following: Prepare money for daily operations at the windows Recognize codes and assign correct accounts Fee Waiver (NT3NI) S/W write off O.B. program Commercial insurance >$4.00 for dual eligible Complete data entry and money reconciliation at end of shift Drop off the bag with receipts and money at the billing department at the end of the day Process and complete previous day transaction reports from both stores/windows and delivers it to the billing dept. Process cash box twice a month and enter data in an excel spreadsheet. Process Rx's through point of sale for patient's mailer/home delivery requests Assist in filing prescriptions in hanging file Refer patients to Patient Assistance when patient requests financial assistance with prescription Interpret at request of pharmacy staff Return phone messages for pharmacy Participate in mandatory in-services, drills, staff meetings and other trainings. Perform duties in a prioritized, organized, and orderly manner to maximize efficiency and productivity. Facilitate the maintenance of a clean, neat, and well-organized work area. Participate in quality improvement activities by initiating or contributing to monitoring, measuring, analyzing, improving, and/or controlling program goals, objectives and/or services. Support current incentive, regulatory, and certification requirements (such as Meaningful Use, PCMH and UDS) through documentation, participation in initiatives, and other activities as directed. Perform other duties as assigned.
