Position Summary:
Provide specialized mental health &/or alcohol and other drug services, including Mental Health Assessment, Chemical Dependency or Dual Diagnosis Assessment, Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy Services, or other chemical dependency treatment services, Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment or Case Management, Consultation, or Prevention to clients related to their specific Individual Service Plan (ISP) defined needs or related to priorities established.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Conduct a diagnosis or needs assessment on referred clients. Write, revise, and advocate for successful ASAM reports with Managed Care Organizations to obtain authorization for treatment.
Able to work in men's or women's residential treatment programs.
Meet the productivity standard in the provision of direct client services, such as individual and group services. Plan, implement, and evaluate services with the participation of persons served and their families.
Develop, maintain, and monitor assigned clients' ISP; review assigned clients' progress in treatment and may communicate with other qualified mental health or alcohol and other drug providers, administrative, and referring agency staff regarding the progress of assigned clients.
Hold a reasonably sized caseload.
Provide referrals to other services as required or necessary.
Assist and support clients served in crisis situations as needed or deliver appropriate for crisis intervention and safety planning services.
Willingness to act as supervisor to student interns. Maintain fidelity to program and treatment model rules.
When appropriate, assist the family of clients in strengthening communication skills; access appropriate physical and mental health care and chemical dependency resources as needed; access transportation needs; and provide opportunities to build social skills.
Collaborate and coordinate services with other involved professionals, including psychiatry, primary care physicians, probation, and community mental health providers. May monitor psychiatric symptoms of clients as appropriate.
Attend and participate in meetings, supervision, and in-service training regarding specific areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
Education-
Combination of education and experience normally represented by a master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields with 3-5 years of related experience.
Experience-
Must be clinically fluent in both languages to effectively provide therapy services. Fluency will be assessed during the interview process to ensure proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and therapy sessions in both Spanish and English.
Must have a strong understanding of addiction and mental illness. Must be able to form effective working and therapeutic relationships.
Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural, and administrative backgrounds, including those involved in criminal justice.
Must be knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services.
Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office software. EMR: Avatar.

Certification Requirements-
You must have LISW, LPCC, LICDC, or IMFT.
Maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR, as needed per program requirements.
