Job Description

OPEN POSITION:
- Primary Care Physician
- Must Speak Spanish

SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 40 Hours per Week
- No On-Call
- No Nights
- No Weekends

OFFICE HOURS:
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Closed Weekends + Holidays

COMPENSATION:
- $225,000 to $260,000 Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide a full scope of primary care services including, but not limited to, the diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance for patients.

This role can be all-ages (family medicine) or adult-only (internal medicine).

Specific duties of the role include:

  1. Review patient histories and perform physical examinations
  2. Evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
  3. Refer patients to specialists as needed
  4. Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care
  5. Review all test results and recommend suitable management for patients
  6. Prescribe medications
  7. Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
  8. Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
  9. Collect and record patient information, such as histories, reports, and examination results
  10. Maintain complete and accurate medical records
  11. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
  12. Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.

REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- No experience required
- Must speak fluent Spanish
