Reports To: Program Supervisor for Project TYKE Period of Employment: 12 Months (221 days) September 1 through August 31 (Grant Funded Position) Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Pay Grade: AS02 Date Revised: 06/2024 Qualifications: College hours, high school diploma or GED Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Self- motivated and able to work under pressure Ability to work and communicate with people Knowledge of and skills in the use of general office machines including computer Ability to maintain confidentiality Bilingual (Spanish) required Primary Purpose: Assume clerical duties to support the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) staff. Accept and process referrals for children referred to ECI Project Teach Your Kids Early (TYKE). Major Duties and Responsibilities: Assist evaluation personnel in contacting the parent/guardian to encourage attendance at evaluations and Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings. Assist in transferring referrals to the appropriate ECI program. Accept and prepare paperwork for referrals. Prepare and submit Health and Human Services (HHS) ECI monthly report to Program Supervisor. Assist in maintenance of the confidential electronic health record and ECI state database. Order ECI handbooks, pamphlets, and outreach materials. Attend Enrollment Team and monthly staff meetings. Greet and assist visitors and district personnel. Answer telephone, take messages, and transfer calls. Provide secretarial support to Program Supervisor and Team Leader. Receive and distribute mail Other duties as assigned. Equipment Used: Personal computer, double monitor, printer, copier, fax machine, multi-phone line Working Conditions: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity technology; Repetitive hand motions such as prolonged use of the computer and or calculator; Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time; Frequent sitting, stooping, bending; Light lifting and carrying, 15 pounds daily; maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions.
