River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups. River Edge Behavioral Health is recognized for its state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and substance abuse problems. In addition, River Edge offers services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Behavior Specialist-Full Time Counsel's individuals with developmental disabilities with an emphasis on prevention and/or positive behavioral supports. In this role You will conduct assessments, designing behavior intervention plans, and implementing evidence-based strategies to address behavioral challenges. You will work closely with clients, their families, and other professionals in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for the individuals served. As the outpatient, BCBA you will also provide staff training through Positive Behavioral Supports curriculum and follow-up fidelity checks. Responsibilities Works with individuals and groups to develop positive behavior supports. Observes and monitors client behavior. Conducts functional assessments and tracks progress using data analysis tools. Provides ongoing training to employees to ensure proper implementation and understanding of Positive Behavior Support Plans. Provides crisis intervention services as needed. Reviews the behavioral data portion of the individual records to ensure that they follow applicable rules and regulations. Prepares and submits required reports and other documentation. Function as a Developmental Disability Professional for those individuals with Behavior Support Plans. Technical Competencies Ability to observe and monitor participants' behavior. Ability to develop and Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans. Ability to provide helpful input in determining appropriate services for individuals. Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to different situations and needs. Knowledge of personal limitations and seeking out opportunities for growth. Knowledge of the documentation process for DBHDD. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and modeling of professional behavior. Must be computer literate and have skills to develop graphs from data. Ability to direct others with empathy and compassion; these qualities will help build trust and rapport with clients and staff. Conflict resolution skills. Ability to identify disruptive behavior and develop solutions through positive behavior supports. Serve as a leader and mentor to registered behavioral technicians (RBT) and individual support staff (ISW) to support professional growth. Ability to recognize contributions and celebrate accomplishments. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Master's Degree in related field Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Valid Driver's License or Identification with reliable transportation to and from work site Acceptable background check Must pass the drug screen. Current TB test Acceptable references Ability to pass basic CPR and first aid; CPI and other required training (examples are HRST, SIS and ISP offered by DBHDD) Sign Developmental Disabilities Professional (DDP) description.
