Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Director and indirect supervisor of the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator the Diet Clerk position is responsible for the daily operation of the diet office and coordination with Nursing Services for optimal efficiency in patient care. The Diet Clerk position organizes patient data and menus, keeps the patient cardex current, prepares the production sheet and distributes menus to patients. The Diet Clerk position is involved in providing nutrition services to a patient population ranging in all age groups, pediatric to geriatric. The Diet Clerk position adheres to all federal, state and local guidelines governing safe food handling and preparation. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: One or more years experience is preferred; with a minimum of one year on the job experience as a diet aide.
