The Food and Beverage Manager at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club is responsible for overseeing the dining and beverage services within the club, ensuring a high standard of service for our members and guests. This role involves managing all food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, and event services, while maintaining a high level of member satisfaction and adhering to the club's standards and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding experience in a golf and country club setting.
$65,000-75,000 - DOE
1. Operations Management:
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the club's restaurant, bar, and banquet services.
• Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet quality standards and are presented attractively.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of dining and event areas, ensuring they are maintained to high standards.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering and controlling stock, to minimize waste and optimize cost-efficiency.
2. Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, cooks, and banquet
personnel.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and events.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and support to enhance team performance.
3. Customer Service:
• Ensure exceptional service standards and a memorable experience for members and guests.
• Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Build strong relationships with members to understand their preferences and enhance their experience at the
club.
4. Event Coordination:
• Collaborate with members and event planners to organize and execute special events, including weddings,
tournaments, and private functions.
• Oversee event planning and logistics, including menu selection, setup, and service.
5. Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the food and beverage budget, including forecasting, cost control, and revenue generation.
• Monitor financial performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance profitability.
• Implement strategies to optimize revenue, including promotions, special events, and member incentives.
6. Menu Development:
• Work closely with the culinary team to develop and update seasonal menus that appeal to members and guests.
• Incorporate feedback from members and stay current with food and beverage trends to keep offerings fresh and
innovative.
7. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food safety practices and labor laws.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and guests.
8. Marketing and Promotion:
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote food and beverage services within the club.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, including flyers, newsletters, and social
media content.
• Gather and analyze feedback to continuously improve offerings and address any areas of concern.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in food and beverage management, with a minimum of 2-4 years in a similar role, preferably in
a golf or country club setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Current Food Handler's Permit and Current Class 13 Liquor Permit

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility. The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times.
