Position Summary Food production supervisor specializes in overseeing the processing phase of food production, ensuring that raw materials are transformed into the desired food products. This may include responsibilities related to mixing, cooking, and shaping processes. Food production supervisor is directly responsible for all kitchen coordination of people and materials including purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness. Training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, packaging, portion and cost control. The Food production supervisor will play an integral role in the company by also coaching and motivating team members to meet deadlines in a timely manner and ensure that overall kitchen operations run smoothly. Oversee and lead production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure staff members perform their duties effectively. What you will do Manage the production of all Snap Kitchen meals start up and/or shutdown. Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and packaged according to the company's standards and specifications. Evaluate and discipline kitchen personnel as appropriate with upper management approval. Develop and implement job specific training to all employees, ensure overall conformance with all Company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping Prepare all required documentation, such as reports and schedules, in an organized and timely manner. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and notifying the facilities team of any issues. Manage food costs by coaching the team on best practices regarding food waste and recipe adherence. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met. Follow company policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, procedures and sanitation initiatives. Coach and develop kitchen personnel as necessary to meet business needs. Oversee adherence to proper employee on the job injury reporting and procedures. Supervise the Food Safety, Sanitation, and HACCP requirements. Supports the programs to comply with the local, state, FDA, and USDA requirements. Who you are Strong leadership, training and problem-solving skills Experience with food service manufacturing, warehouse & distribution is a plus Must have a high level of comfort in a high-volume manufacturing kitchen Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and good email etiquette Must be able to collaborate with other departments such as quality control, logistics, and procurement to address cross- functional issues. Is an advocate of safety within the facility and follows and enforces all safety procedures. Analytical, observation, and coaching skills coupled with initiative to create and embrace change Must possess a high level of dependability, honesty, integrity, and ethics Desire to learn and willingness to accept responsibility.
