A Japanese CPA firm in Torrance, CA seeks a Japanese bilingual Public Accounting & Tax Senior.
Work hours: 9:00-18:00 / Hybrid or Full Remote

Requirements: - At least 3 years of Public Accounting and/or Tax experience is a must.
- Accounting major is a big plus. CPA is not required but a significant plus.
- Experience working at a Consulting/Accounting firm/Outsourcing agency is a must (Japan/USA).
- Business level Japanese language required (must be able to read, write, and speak in Japanese at Business-level).
- Excellent customer service & communication skills required.
- Experience with tax software (e.g. Lacerte, ProSystem fx Tax) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
Job Description: Will supervise Associates and work closely with Manager and Senior Manager.
- Tax return preparation.
- Book closing support.
- Sales tax return.
- Payroll processing.
- Assurance (audit & review).
- Ensuring client's compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and review general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and depreciation.
- Provide bookkeeping and payroll services for clients.
- Assist with company set-up and incorporation services for clients.
- Perform internal control testing support and internal audit support services for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and tax regulations.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and analyze financial data and provide insights to the Manager.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in the preparation of audit schedules and support the internal and external audit process.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax requirements.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Manager.
