Job Description A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking, LPN to join one of their outpatient facilities in Manhattan.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (one Saturday per month)
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: FQHC / Outpatient family practice
Responsibilities:
The LPN will be responsible for:
- Assessing patients and obtaining health history
- Patient teaching and education
- Administration of medications and immunizations
- Monitoring vital signs
- Providing support to medical providers.
- Performing clinical procedures, such as but not limited: injections, phlebotomy, EKG, dipstick urinalysis, finger stick blood tests, PPDs, pregnancy and other health screens
- Handling other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (LPN) license
- CPR certification
- Infection Control certification
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Knowledge of medical procedures, diagnostic tools and medical office protocols
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
