Title: HR Generalist Reporting: HR Manager Position Type: Full-time Department: Human Resources We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice to plant personnel. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. This position reports directly to the HR Manager. Implement and administer employee policies. Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues. Support the HR department in implementing retention programs to help improve the employee experience. Offer proactive recruiting assistance. Administer and support talent management programs and HR initiatives that require field implementation and facilitation to ensure adherence to standards and consistency in application. Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates for GOP. Identify ways to improve policies and procedures. Manage the administration of FMLA/ADA compliance for the facility. Administration of employee benefits. Lead investigations and recommend actions according to policies, laws, and regulations. Train and provide support to HR team members in their duties. Be the primary backup for the HR Manager. Assist in recruiting trips and travel as needed to organize job fairs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and recommend changes to policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance. Other duties and projects as needed. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. 2+ years' experience in HR Expertise in HR policies and procedures Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations Sound judgment and problem-solving skills Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion Familiarity with MS Office suite Excellent communication skills Manage priorities and dynamic deadlines Flexible and positive in a fast-paced Plant and business environment Efficient time management and communication Interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels within the plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, and feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to Highly Desirable Skills: Analytical skills Manufacturing experience Bilingual Required Work Environment: The work environment is a combination of corporate and manufacturing. While performing this job's duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and humid conditions. The employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Normal Work Schedule: The role will be requiring flexibility in hours. The starting typical working hours are 11:00 am to 07:00 pm and will transition to 2:00pm to 11:00pm.
