Job Description
The process improvement specialist is responsible for coordinating the implementation of key strategic projects that
involve direct interaction with various departments such as IT, operations, clinical personnel, and physician executives.
The primary focus of the role is to establish and improve processes. The process improvement specialist will take the
lead in developing strategies, designing, implementing, and executing assigned projects. They will act as a liaison
between clinical departments throughout the organization, including the entire USFTGP enterprise. Additionally, the
pecialist will play a crucial role in managing and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement both within their
assigned areas and throughout USFTGP.
Key skills will include project management and facilitation, building relationships with physicians, operators, IT,
marketing, and other stakeholders. The specialist will also be involved in data analysis, strategic planning, and thinking,
demonstrating technical expertise and actively solving problems.
Overall, the process improvement specialist will contribute to the organization's goals by driving process improvement
initiatives and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various departments.
Job Specific Duties:
• Manages all aspects of assigned improvement projects. Working closely with executive sponsors, project
managers, clinical leadership, and a variety of other stakeholders from problem identification and
definition though solution design, implementation and results review for continuous improvement.
• Oversees project facilitation, communication and documentation utilizing best practice change
management and project management standards of the system.
• Continuously seeks feedback to identify areas for improvement of assigned projects.
• Organizes workshops and provides training to staff, supporting them through the implementation of new
processes and technologies.
• Develops standard work for managers and management systems for measuring success.
• Analyzes data to identify areas for improvement and creates improvement strategies based on data
insights.
• Leads the implementation of changes to enhance processes and achieve substantial gains in quality,
performance, utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree (Healthcare, Business Administration, Operations Management, Communication, or Information Technology) and 4 YOE or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, Agile, etc.
