Job Description

The Bilingual Human Resources Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the human resources department, including managing employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits, and coordinating recruitment and training activities. The position will also be expected to assist in the translation of employee conversations between Spanish and English speakers, assisting in the translating and proof reading of company documents from English to Spanish, and assisting other departments in need of a translator.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Serves as the primary translator for HR in confidential employee conversations between English and Spanish speakers
  • Supports all departments in translating conversations between English and Spanish speakers
  • Assists in the translation of technical company documents from English to Spanish.
  • Maintain and update employee files, databases, and online systems.
  • Executes all assigned HR duties and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee files, databases, and online systems.
  • Assist in administrative work related to company payroll and benefits.
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, such as posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process for all entry-level roles and positions
  • Facilitates new hire orientation for all entry-level roles and positions
  • Facilitates and teaches various employee training courses for Spanish speaking employees
  • Helps administer and process employee FMLA requests
  • Assists in and leads employee investigations
  • Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to the HR manager and HR Director.
  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Support administrative functions for other departments as needed

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as an HR Assistant, Office Admin or similar role; Or a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HR processes.
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, )
  • Familiar with HRIS software preferred.
  • Organized with strong administrative skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HR.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Remains polished & professional in all HR matters.
  • Is extremely confidential with HR / company sensitive information.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment with moderate noise level. The employee in this class is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
