As one of the two Coordinators for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and At-Risk Afterschool Meals within the Nutrition Program Services (NPS) division, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to schools and community-based organizations in the implementation of these USDA food programs, which serve youth outside of regular school hours and during the summer months. Key responsibilities include: + Developing the annual work plan and the SFSP Management Administration Plan (MAP) required by the USDA. + Coordinating state agency activities to ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and state statutes. + Traveling statewide to conduct administrative reviews and pre-approval visits. + Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support informed decision-making. + Leading and collaborating in the development and delivery of administrative reviews and workshops. + Creating informational materials for external stakeholders. + Providing direction, collaboration, and training for internal staff on SFSP and At-Risk Program policy updates, administrative reviews, and other relevant requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in planning and administering state-wide or nation-wide public Nutrition Programs including ensuring compliance with policy, rules and regulations Professional work experience in promotion, marketing, social marketing of health or public funding programs to organizations that serve school-age children Knowledge and experience working with the USDA Child Nutrition Programs including At-Risk Afterschool Meals and Summer Food Service Programs.
