Position / Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist
Types of Cases REQ: Adult Acute Care
Types of Cases Preferred: Pediatric Autism
Years of experience REQ: 1
First timers accepted: Yes
Weekend REQ: One weekend day a month (4 hours+ if higher census)
Is on-call REQ? Yes - One weekend day a month (4 hours+ if higher census)
Open to accommodating block schedule? Yes - M-F schedule
Locals accepted: Yes
Pending State License accepted: No. IN-STATE LICENSE / REQUIRED CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUB
RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays
Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek.
Job Requirements
Certs REQ: CCC for ASHA, IN state license, BLS
Special Requirements: Aphasia, apraxia, dementia/alzheimers, head injury, progressive neurological disease
Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
Schedule Information
Shift: M-F 8:00-16:30

Unit Specific Information
Unit Information: ICU to progressive care units with diagnoses of CVA, TBI, dementia/Alzheimers, respiratory illnesses, MS, Parkinson etc. SLPs are expected to evaluate, develop plan of care that may include treatment for aphasia, dysphagia, dysarthria, trach-care and speaking valve placement, cognition, performing and interpreting VFSS, and patient and family education.

Valid Driver's License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.
Must work 2/3 major holidays
