Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a VoIP Admin/Engineer to support KDS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. VoIP Network Engineer Responsibilities: • Meeting with IT managers to determine the company's networking needs. • Analyzing existing VoIP networks and computer systems. • Developing architecture plans for voice and data services. • Installing network hardware modules including IP and PBX communication servers. • Designing and implementing Cisco Unity systems. • Troubleshooting VoIP network issues. • Analyzing and upgrading network security systems and protocols. • Adding network users and managing company permissions. • Optimizing network installations for future expansion. • Training staff on network and system protocols. VoIP Network Engineer Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field. • Previous experience working as a VoIP network engineer. • In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP Protocols. • Knowledge of hardware systems including servers, memory modules, processors, and peripherals. • Detailed knowledge of network security systems and software. • Good project management skills. • Familiarity with WAN and LAN systems. • Excellent troubleshooting skills. • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
